Black Noddies-A tour to Las Mariettas yields more than Blue-footed Boobies!
In a short trip to the islands on April 26, 2007 I identified 11 species at or around the islands. Included were the Black Noddy (1) Brown Booby, Blue-footed Booby, Tri-Colored heron (1), Elegant Tern,Black Tern, Least Tern,(migrating mixed flocks of both of these terns) Heermann’s Gull, Laughing Gull, Black-bellied Whistling Duck (4), Northern Rough-winged Swallow and Brown Pelican.
