Welcome to our website and blog. Our goal is to provide an easy way for you to sign up for tours and retreats. In addition we want to give you regional birding information and contacts to other area resources so that you may learn more about the flora and fauna of the area and the services provided for you in this region of Mexico.

Cody’s bird-watching trip to San Sebastian del Oeste

Isabel Jordan-Passed On Last Night

Our beloved friend and mentor died last night with her kids and close friend by her side. Isabel was injured in an accident on January 5 and was hospitalized in Puerto Vallarta since then. We had hopes until today that she could recover.

Isabel is the most tender and knowing spirit and we are blessed to have had her in our tropical family. She was wise, generous and kind. Like our friend Nana, who died in September, she took a bite of everything offered in this world. She is the only person I know that left this world at 81 years and never reached old age.

Naná died in a trail building accident in Washington on September 25, 2008.

Naná was my birding companion, summer house-mate and one of the finer, more highly skilled people on the planet.

On Christmas Day she will be gone three months. It will be a lifetime of missing her.
